Yamunanagar, Haryana


Yamunanagar is a district of Haryana which came in to existence in1 October, 1989. Total area of the district is 1,756 sq Km. It is earlier known as 'Abdulahpur'.

Yamunanagar got its name as the Yamuna river forms its eastern boundary with the states of Uttar Pradesh and Uttranchal. There are 655 villages and 10 towns in this district.

Thesils under Yamunagar are Jagadhri, Chhachhrauli, Bilaspur

It is consist of some small Towns some of them are very famous in all over the India. It has many large industries in paper, sugar and utensils sectors. Saraswati Sugar Mills which is a biggest sugar mill in India and Shri Gopal Paper Mills is located here.

Yamunanagar, district of Haryana has many beauty places to see like Kalesar Forest, Hathni Kund and Tajewala barrage, Ch Devi Lal Herbal Park, Panchmukhi Hanuman Mandir etc.
