Gurgaon-Qutub minar section of Delhi Metro was the most awaited metro line which is opened for public on 21 June, 2010 and this line has been extended up to Central Secretariat on 3rd September, 2010 and is finally connected with the existing Yellow line between Jahangirpuri and Central Secretariat.


Metro Stations in Gurgaon Route


This 45 km long Metro line is connecting North Delhi (Jahangirpuri), South Delhi (Green Park, Saket, AIIMS, Hauz Khas) and Gurgaon (HUDA City Centre) in one network (Jahangirpuri to Huda City Center section) and 40 trains are running on the line at a frequency of three minutes, there are 34 Metro stations on the line of which 20 are underground and 14 elevated.

• Central Secretariat: Rakab Ganj Gurdwara, Open Source Drug Discovery Network, Rail Bhavan, The Press Club Of India and Central Secretariat Library

• Udyog Bhawan: Nirman Bhavan and Vayu Bhavan

• Race Course: Delhi Gymkhana Club

• Jor Bagh: Food Factory, Karbala Grounds, Plant Nursery and Naya Jeevan Hospital

• INA: Laxmi Bai Nagar Market, Senior Secondary School, Ichapurak Gurudwara, Arya Samaj Mandir, Lal San Mandir and Dilli Haat

• AIIMS: All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Safdarjung Hospital, Moth Ki Masjid, AIIMS Campus Temple ,Yusuf Sarai Mandir, Digambar Jain Mandir and Jerusalem Mar Thoma Syrian Church

Haryana Government has decided to set up its own Metro Corporation to extend the metro-rail facility to areas in the national capital region (NCR) under Haryana. It is planned to connect the Gurgaon Metro Rail Link to Delhi Metro's Sikanderpur Station to NH-8, with six stations on a 6-km elevated link this rail link will complete in 2013.
